Having database, category and custom fields (select box) permissions set up

1. Only administrators group can see and edit custom fields.
2. Others members groups with all permissions give up, members can see custom fields, but only if records created by them, can not see it if the records are created by others.

Right now I don't have anything restricted.

In the database settings under Option you need to set the wikistyle edit on.

The Edit own records indefinitely only affect the creator, but the wikistyle allow for edit by more than one person.

Oh my god...

Still some issues

1. this open the edit record options to students and parents.

2. Can not set only view custom field. Only custom field can not see it, or can see it and edit it. Example, guardian field should be can see by student but not for edit, current situation don't let me do that, even a have the permission set up.

You can see it and edit it, or can not see it.

In the fields that they can edit, do they have edit permission for those fields?

I am guessing it is the title and description fields for example?

We can edit the form itself to control the fields based on group as well if we want that.
