Remote and hybrid work, as well as new technologies like AI, have created new challenges for HR teams and required a change in how they operate.
With Atlassian's Team Anywhere policy enabling our employees to choose where they work, our HR teams experienced this challenge firsthand. This included how new employees could experience our company and team culture despite not onboarding in an office or making sure they could get the help they need to get work done from anywhere in the world.
As your HR teams navigate this new landscape, we’d love for you to join our upcoming webinar: How Atlassian empowers its distributed workforce

We’re excited to share that Confluence Data Center 9.2 will be our next Long Term Support (LTS) release, planned to be available in Q4 2024.
If you manage complex systems that require infrequent upgrades with careful planning, we recommend upgrading to Confluence 9.2 when it becomes available. In the lead-up to the final release of Confluence 9.2, we’ll also make Early Access Program (EAP) releases available to give you a snapshot of our work-in-progress and an opportunity to try out new features early. Discover more about Confluence development releases here.

Back in 2022 we introduced a new product called Atlas, the first teamwork directory to help teams communicate better and allow organizations to connect the dots across their teams, apps, and work. But since our goal has always been to help as many teams as possible, we wanted to make Atlas even more accessible to Atlassian users everywhere.
That’s why we announced at the recent Team ‘24 that Atlas will be retired as a product, and its features will become the first of Atlassian’s Platform Experiences available to every Atlassian customer for free. That means no more product licenses to provision or user access to manage - if you have an Atlassian product in your workspace, you’ll be able to use goals, projects, teams, and topics and get an upgraded Atlassian Home experience.

Today, at Team '24, we announced Atlassian Guard, which marks our next chapter in cloud security. Atlassian Guard unifies existing Atlassian Access and Beacon beta capabilities and brand-new data loss prevention functionality into one product with two plans, and reflects our current cloud security capabilities and where we plan to go in the future:
Atlassian Guard Standard gives you all of the Access capabilities you know and love, with seamless authentication & authorization and enhanced visibility & auditing. Atlassian Guard Premium includes Atlassian Guard Standard and Beacon beta capabilities and goes even further with data loss prevention, expanded threat detection & investigation, and robust audit logging.

Following our previous two posts, (What is Information Security? & Bridging the Gap: From Information Security to Compliance) the third topic in our Infosec & Compliance series will focus (as promised) on Security Best Practices for Jira: Permissions, Workflows, and Third-Party Apps.
Why is it crucial to pay attention to Jira security?
Jira often houses highly sensitive data—project details, customer information, development roadmaps, and even financial data. A security breach in your Jira instance can have far-reaching consequences, ranging from intellectual property theft to compliance violations. Proactive security measures are vital to maintain your organisation's integrity and protect sensitive information.

Digital asset management is a crucial process when it comes to operating a business. The reason is that tracking your company's digital assets has become increasingly critical. From marketing materials to operation documents, these digital resources are the backbone of your business. Why do we need a robust digital asset management (DAM) system in place so badly?

Have you ever tried scheduling a meeting with your teammates, and one person is OOO, the other has a jammed-packed schedule, and another is in a different timezone? So have I! That’s where Loom comes in.
With Loom, I can easily record a project status update and link directly to relevant documents, enabling my teammates to get the update at their convenience. They can also leave me any comments and feedback right within Loom.
If you’re new to Loom or haven’t had a chance to explore it quite yet, join us next week on May 22 as one of our Community Instructors, @Matt Reiner _K15t_ , teaches a free course for beginners. You can RSVP here.

In an effort to make creating, organizing, and finding simpler in Confluence, we have made the decision to deprecate the Shortcuts feature. As a part of this deprecation, we will transform existing shortcuts to Smart Links in the Content Tree.
Here is our timeline for making these changes:
June 6th, 2024: Space Admins will begin seeing an option to move their Shortcuts to Smart Links in Content Tree September 27th, 2024: Atlassian will auto-move all remaining Shortcuts to Smart Links in Content Tree

Hi everybody,
We wanted to share an update with our customer community about changes coming to Bitbucket Cloud UI shortly.
Starting on May 20, 2024, we are scoping the  Commits list page to the repository’s main branch. Viewing all commits (from all branches) will still be possible through the Show All hyperlink.
We had to make this decision for technical reasons. As our product continues to grow, we always look for opportunities to improve product’s architecture to enhance performance. Sometimes this means trade-offs with changes to the product interface. In this particular case, we have been able to improve the page’s performance particularly for customers who experienced significant delays in load times for this page.
