Atlassian Focus provides one place for leaders to map and track goals, work, teams, and funds against strategic priorities
For leaders, sleep often evades them as they ponder: Do we have the right people working on the right things? What are their goals and do those support our company’s top priorities? Are we investing enough in those priorities?
Atlassian is here to help put many of those questions to bed with Atlassian Focus, our new enterprise strategy and planning solution. It provides a central hub for leaders to map and track goals, work, teams, and funds, keeping everything aligned to strategic priorities.

Sprint retrospectives are a crucial part of the Agile process, offering teams a chance to reflect on what went well, what didn’t, and how to improve future sprints. However, these retros can easily become disjointed when feedback is stored separately from sprint data, action items are forgotten, or retros are treated as a formality rather than an opportunity for meaningful change.
By integrating Confluence and Jira, you can streamline your retros, turning them into a productive part of your workflow– rather than an afterthought.
In this installment of our Better Together series, we’ll explore how using Confluence and Jira together can improve the efficiency and outcomes of your sprint retrospectives

At Team ‘24 in Las Vegas, we unveiled the next evolution of Jira – a shared place for every team to align on goals and priorities, track and collaborate on work, and get the insights they need to build something incredible, together.
Today, we’re excited to announce new features (and a new look!) that make Jira easier, more flexible, and more powerful for all types of work – helping transform siloed companies into connected ones.
Let’s take a look!

f you’ve ever gone hunting for information, digging through Slack archives, Google Docs, and spreadsheets, then you’ve experienced the common challenges of cross-functional collaboration.
Program managers working in cross-functional teams end up spending 30% of their workday searching for information. And when you can’t find the right information, you can’t work together effectively. In fact, 70% of corporate errors are due to poor communication between teams.

Authenticate once, securely and efficiently
Say goodbye to repetitive logins when transitioning between Jira Align and Jira. For Jira Align customers subscribed to Atlassian Guard, you now have the option to set up Jira Align to use your Atlassian account details for logging in. SAML single sign-on (SSO) allows users to authenticate to Atlassian cloud products through a company's existing identity provider, meaning users access multiple products with the same set of credentials while using a simplified and more secure method of authentication than just a username and password.

I previously published a post about a Forge application that I’d written called the "Issue Status Helper" and thought it might be useful to share another example of how I've used Forge to help Jira meet our specific project management needs.
This application has a number of similarities with the Issue Status Helper application but touches on a few different modules and capabilities that are worth exploring. In particular these are the new and improved UI Kit, Jira Custom Fields and GraphQL.
The application is called “Jira Board Buddy” and allows you to map teams to boards for a project and enforce that mapping for issues within the project. First let’s dive into the problem that I was using Forge to solve…

A few months ago, we rolled out Smart Link support for Jira dashboards, letting you embed Jira dashboards and gadgets directly into Confluence pages. This was a game-changer for creating reports, project updates, and providing commentary on in-progress work for stakeholders and leadership. Using Confluence as your single source of truth for project documentation is a great way to keep your work and knowledge connected as projects move forward.
We’ve got some great news to share with you: Today, Smart Link support now extends to Jira project boards and backlogs. No more clunky screenshots. Just copy, paste, and configure views of your Jira project boards and backlog seamlessly in Confluence.

We are thrilled to announce that Appfire has acquired one of the fastest-growing apps on the Atlassian Marketplace, JXL, the all-in-one Jira issue editor and organizer. JXL performs at any scale to save users countless clicks and hours. While many apps allow users to organize their Jira projects into tables, export to Microsoft Excel, or group issues into hierarchies, there is no other app like JXL that provides a feature-rich spreadsheet experience seamlessly built into Jira.
